No.1
On March 3rd, I was on the ship which took us to the final destination, Brazil from the Kobe Port. It was the last immigrant ship of the Mitsui merchant ship called “the Brazil Maru”. My space was the cheapest room at the bottom of the ship that I reserved, and would spend two weeks here to the United States.
In those days most of the students who wanted to study abroad took a boat. One reason was that the airplane fare was so expensive that we could not afford it. The other reason was that we wanted to enjoy having a good time with people on a boat.
My story will be continued soon.
